Job Requirements

We are looking for ICU / CC Registered Nurses who combine a true passion for providing the best Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing care, with a demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures. In addition, you should be team-oriented and compassionate professional committed to always providing exceptional service. It is also important that you are highly organized and that you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work well with a diverse population.

ICU / CC Duties

• Assisting with equipment and processing of necessary tools
• Serving as a patient advocate and always ensuring patient safety
• Assisting with positioning the patient
• Create and implement effective care plans.
• Evaluating and treating patients
• Providing postoperative care
• Monitoring stress test evaluations
• Monitoring cardiac and vascular readings
• Educating patients and their families
• Supporting and motivating patients’ lifestyle changes
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit.
• Maintain patient records
• If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate doctors
• Exhibiting skillful clinical judgment and assessment skills
• Evaluate and monitor the patient’s progress.
• Collects and analyzes data in order to identify expected outcomes for the medical/surgical patients.
• Developing and prioritizes the plan of care to attain measurable goals
• Implements the interventions identified and evaluates the results.
• Identifies educational needs, implements and evaluates learning and documents patient/family education.
• Demonstrates critical thought and judgment in the delivery of care related to medical/surgical patients.
• Manages acute and chronic pain on all patients, but especially post procedure or surgical patients to assist in alleviating suffering and improving healing.
• Delivers medications based upon continual assessment, safety and evaluation of patient response.
• Evaluates and enhances own nursing practice in relation to professional nursing standards.

Specific qualifications for this ICU / CC nursing role include:

• Minimum 1 year of ICU / CC experience
• Current and valid BLS certification
• Current and Valid ACLS certification
• Current and Valid PALS certification (Client requirement will apply)
• Must have Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care (CC) experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-risk environment

• Must meet Pulse Staffing’s hiring criteria

• Travel experience, a plus
