Job Summary:
As a Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for administering specialized nursing care in private residences. Your duties will include ongoing assessment of clients and families, implementing preventive measures, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, and educating on health-related topics.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care in private residences
- Conduct continuous assessment of clients and families
- Implement preventive, rehabilitative, and therapeutic measures
- Educate on safety precautions, medication actions, and appropriate healthcare measures
- Administer medications, treatments, and modalities as directed by the physician
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent full-time nursing experience
- Experience in home healthcare preferred but not required with a strong clinical background
- Current RN license in [State]
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Negative TB/PPD test within the past 12 months
- Reliable transportation and clear driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for transfers and perform physical tasks while caring for patients
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work 2-3 shifts per week with rotating weekends
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound nursing judgments
