Private Duty Caregiver/CNA - Emergency Medicine Background Preferred
Job Description
Pulse Staffing is seeking an experienced, confident caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a private duty client in the home. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an emergency medicine background who enjoys building relationships and providing personalized care in a lower-stress environment than traditional EMS.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is calm under pressure, highly observant, and able to think critically while providing compassionate care.
Preferred Experience:
- EMT, Paramedic, ER Technician, Military Medic, Firefighter/EMT, or similar emergency medicine experience
- CNA or experienced private duty caregiver with high-acuity clients
- Comfortable working independently in a home setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one care in the client's home
- Assist with mobility, personal care, and activities of daily living
- Monitor the client's condition and promptly report changes
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Create a safe, respectful, and positive environment for the client
- Communicate effectively with the client's family and the Pulse Staffing team
Qualifications
- Current CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or equivalent healthcare experience preferred
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical observations
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
