Pulse Staffing is searching for a experienced Phlebotomists to fill our clients needs in and around the Houston Medical Center area.

Several PRN openings in the Houston area.

short term, long term, temp-hire, depending on the site.

 

Duties:

  • Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
  • Collect/prepare non-blood specimens.
  • Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
  • Collect/prepare non-blood specimens.
  • Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
  • Properly collecting blood specimens by venipuncture
  • Completes requisitions/paperwork accompanying the collection to insure proper processing
  • Adheres to established standards, protocols and policies of the facility.
  • Performs phlebotomy in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
  • Keeps collection area and equipment clean

Job Requirements

*Must have reliable transportation

*Must provide references

*Must be able to do blood draws

*Must have previous Phlebotomy experience

*Excellent communication skills

*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

*Basic computer and data entry skills

*Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians

*bilingual in Spanish is a plus
