What You'll Do
Every blood draw is an opportunity to make a patient feel comfortable and cared for. As a Pulse Staffing Phlebotomist, you will:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections safely and accurately
- Deliver compassionate care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Verify patient identity using established safety protocols
- Label, process, and transport specimens according to laboratory standards
- Monitor patients during collections and respond appropriately to adverse reactions
- Follow OSHA, CLIA, and infection prevention standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and laboratory professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or equivalent clinical experience
- National Certification (ASCP, NHA, AMT, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records and laboratory information systems
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the Houston Metro Area
