Position Overview:
The Phlebotomist will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients in accordance with established procedures. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring comfort and professionalism throughout the collection process.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary draws on patients of all ages.

Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for transport.

Verify patient identity and maintain proper documentation.

Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient comfort during procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Communicate effectively with clinical and laboratory staff regarding specimen issues.

Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols.
Job Requirements
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent).

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).

CPR certification preferred.

Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to multitask.
