Job Summary
Pulse Staffing is seeking a licensed Pharmacist with compounding experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, providing patient counseling, and preparing compounded medications in accordance with physician orders and safety standards. The candidate must demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and compound sterile and/or non-sterile medications according to physician orders and regulatory guidelines
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, interactions, and appropriateness of therapy
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, dosage instructions, and treatment plans
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of medications and compounded products
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers regarding medication therapy
- Monitor patient medication profiles and identify potential drug interactions
- Maintain pharmacy records, documentation, and inventory control
- Follow safety procedures and quality assurance standards for compounding practices
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Previous pharmacy experience required
- Compounding experience required (sterile and/or non-sterile preferred)
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication management, and patient safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with pharmacy systems and electronic medical records preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Retail, specialty, hospital, or compounding pharmacy experience
- Knowledge of USP guidelines and compounding standards
- Experience preparing customized medications for patient-specific needs
Schedule: Full-time / Part-time (depending on business needs)
