Job Requirements

We are looking for Human Resource Assistants demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with policies and procedures. In addition, you should be team-oriented and compassionate professional committed to always providing exceptional service. It is also important that you are highly organized and that you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work well with a diverse population.

Human Resource Assistant Duties

• Responsible for supporting the direction and guidance provided to all levels of the Hospital by assisting in the development and administering of various Human Resources programs, plans, policies and procedures in a consistent manner; assisting with advising both leadership and staff regarding resolution of various issues/concerns; and assisting with the coordination of a variety of activities related to employee relations, recruitment,
  training, employee communications, event mgmt., and positive employee relations.
• Troubleshoots and provides prep work to HR team members regarding basic to standard inquiries regarding employment issues, complaints, and application of policies. Interfaces with HR team members to communicate responses to issues.
• Responds to requests for information in a warm, courteous and professional manner.
• Supports HR team members in meetings with employees or leadership, obtaining pertinent information and assisting with follow up as needed.
• Display good professional judgment when interacting with others and uses service-oriented verbal and nonverbal behaviors in support of providing exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrates the ability to resolve conflict among peers in a professional manner as evidenced by strong teamwork.
• Promotes good interpersonal relationships among employees.
• Proactively identifies when coworkers need assistance and responds appropriately.
• Must have good customer service skills. This position will interface with our new hires who are joining Texas Children’s as well as various levels of leadership.  

HR ASST skills:

• Knowledge of computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and basic math skills.
• Broad knowledge of legal requirements related to Affirmative Action, Equal Employment, unemployment claims, immigration, etc., in order to ensure Hospital is in compliance with these activities.
• Ability to competently utilize computer word processors and spreadsheet programs and HRIS software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, time-management and facilitation skills are required.
• Incumbent must be able to interface effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization, work autonomously and maintain flexibility and adaptability.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English a preferred.

Specific qualifications for this HR role include:

• Minimum 2 year of Human Resource Assistant experience
• Required- H.S. Diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline may be substituted for the experience requirement

• Ability to work with Computers

• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-risk environment

• Must meet Pulse Staffing’s hiring criteria

PAY: $23.00 PR HR
