Job Overview
The Healthcare Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that healthcare organizations adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies. This position involves monitoring compliance with various healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and FDA guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of coding practices and compliance management, as well as experience with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
Duties
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
- Review and analyze documentation related to patient care to ensure adherence to JCAHO standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide training on compliance-related topics.
- Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies.
- Prepare reports on compliance findings and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and audits.
Job Requirements
Skills
- 2 years of previous expirence and proficient in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement processes.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations pertaining to healthcare practices.
- Strong understanding of compliance management principles.
- Experience with JCAHO accreditation standards.
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
