Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services/Administrator to lead our nursing and healthcare operations with passion, precision, and a commitment to excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of nursing care delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, fostering a positive environment for residents and staff, and driving continuous improvement across our healthcare services. Duties

• Provide strategic leadership for nursing services across Private Duty, Home Health, hospice care, and acute care settings, ensuring seamless coordination among departments & clients.
• Oversee the development and implementation of personalized care plans that meet clients’ needs and promote optimal health outcomes.
• Manage compliance with all applicable regulations including HHSC, HIPAA, and state licensing requirements; ensure documentation review for accuracy and completeness.
• Supervise nurse management staff and direct care teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Oversee medical records management using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems; ensure accurate documentation of medical histories, assessments, treatments, and progress notes. Establishing electronic record keeping and establishing quarterly Audits.
• Monitor shift management to optimize staffing levels while maintaining quality standards; coordinate training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and HIPAA regulations.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing care documentation, analyzing patients' personalized care needs, and implementing improvements to enhance resident satisfaction and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with state guidelines and develop strategies for reimbursement optimization.
• Facilitate ongoing staff training on nursing administration principles, medical terminology, documentation review processes, and emergency response protocols.

Experience

• Proven management experience in private duty nursing and/or home health agency with demonstrated success in supervising nursing teams.
• Extensive background in nursing administration within home health or hospice care environments; familiarity with acute care settings is highly desirable.
• Strong marketing and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of patient’s personalized care plans, MDS (Minimum Data Set assessments), care plan development, and state regulations.
• Hands-on experience with EMR systems and EHR platforms for managing medical records efficiently as well as manual charting.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising staff across multiple shifts; ability to foster teamwork and professional growth.
• Deep understanding of physiology and anatomy as it relates to elderly or chronically ill populations; ability to interpret complex medical terminology accurately.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with residents’ families, healthcare providers, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
