- Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

What You'll Do
- Rapidly assess, triage, and monitor patients with a wide range of emergency conditions.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document vital signs, medical history, and clinical findings.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and injections safely and accurately.
- Deliver exceptional emergency and critical care while prioritizing multiple high-acuity patients.
- Perform and assist with emergency procedures, including trauma care, conscious sedation, suturing, spinal taps, and other life-saving interventions.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Serve as a strong patient advocate while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to remain current with emergency nursing best practices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2.5 years of recent Emergency Department experience required.
- Proven experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department is required.
- Behavioral Health/Psychiatric and Critical Care experience preferred.
- Experience using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued through the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred.
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Experience administering IV medications, injections, and managing acute pain.
- Familiarity with Internal Medicine and Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) patient populations is a plus.
