Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Location: [Specify Location]

Shift: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday - 10hr shifts

On-call: 5-6 times per month

Travel: Traveler must live within 45 minutes of the facility while on assignment

Pay Rate: Local - $65 per hour

Job Description:

Must hold a valid BLS National Certification

Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and efficient operating room support function
  • CVOR HEART 
  • Work independently with sound judgment
  • Report observations and patient problems to the licensed nurse or surgeon
  • Mentor and guide Surgical Technologist positions
  • Train and orient others in the field
  • Performance of general patient care and department upkeep
  • Practice relationship-centered care in alignment with Houston Methodist values

Note: The Sr Surgical Technologist position requires advanced knowledge and skills to carry out delegated tasks effectively. This role plays an essential part in the operating room environment, providing guidance and support while ensuring the highest level of patient care.
