Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bilinual Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary collections for blood specimens.
- Ensure proper identification of patients before specimen collection.
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain aseptic technique to prevent contamination during procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for laboratory tests, including explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Monitor and document vital signs as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures within the hospital or laboratory setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of all specimens collected and processed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient service with a focus on empathy and communication skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques relevant to phlebotomy.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and vital signs monitoring.
- Proficient in specimen collection processing and handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist from an accredited program is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within a hospital or clinical setting.
- 3-5 years of recent experience and bilingual Spanish/Englsih.

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
