Responsibilities
- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols
- Monitor and manage acute and chronic illnesses
- Perform procedures such as ventilator management and dialysis
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records systems like Athenahealth and eClinicalWorks
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control measures
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the respective specialty area (Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner)
- Proficiency in conducting physical assessments, vital signs monitoring, and acute pain management
- Experience in medication administration and managing chronic conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems like Athenahealth and eClinicalWorks
