Job Requirements

Audiology, Clinical Generalist Duties:

  • Age appropriate diagnostic assessments and interpretation
  • Amplification evaluations/dispensing, verification, validation, programming and training
  • Documentation and patient/family education
  • Complete documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy and timeliness. Written reports must accurately and clearly describe history, test results and recommendations
  • Follow policies and procedures for best practice according to TCH Audiology protocols
  • Counsels/educates parents regarding test results/recommendations/Ònancial resources• At least 2 approved ½ hour to or case presentations per year to staff
  • Participate in work-sponsored educational opportunities
  • 10 CEUs per calendar year
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication of information, positive interpersonal skills ability to function in an inter-disciplinary environment
  • Seeking audiologist to provide highest quality age-appropriate care at Specialty Care Eagle Springs. We are a fast pace ENT environment, providing collaborative care to include:

 

  • Age-appropriate diagnostic assessments and interpretation
  • Documentation and patient/family education
  • Complete documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy and timeliness. Written reports must accurately and clearly describe history, test results and recommendations
  • Follow policies and procedures for best practice according to TCH Audiology protocols
  • Counsels/educates parents regarding test results/recommendations/Financial resources
  • Proficiency in management of amplification devices is preferred, but diagnostics only will be considered

Audiology, Clinical Generalist Skills:

  • Doctorate degree in Audiology
  • Audiologist License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TXAUDLIC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • One of the following additional certifications required:
    • Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
    • Board Certified Audiologist (ABA-CERT) issued by the American Board of Audiology

Education:

  • Audiologist License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TXAUDLIC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • One of the following additional certifications required:
    • Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
    • Board Certified Audiologist (ABA-CERT) issued by the American Board of Audiology

 

Specific qualifications for Audiology, Clinical Generalist role include:

 

  • Minimum 1 years of Audiology, Clinical Generalist experience
  • Pediatric experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-risk environment
