Private Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Uptown Homecare is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide exceptional one-on-one care for clients in the Humble and Kingwood, Texas areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Prepare nutritious meals and provide feeding assistance as needed.
• Provide medication reminders in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement to promote the client's overall well-being.
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands as needed.
• Observe, document, and promptly report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition.
• Ensure the highest standards of safety, dignity, and quality of care are maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred; Home Health Aide (HHA) experience will also be considered.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent home care, private-duty, or long-term care experience preferred.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

• Current TB test or chest X-ray

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.

• Demonstrates a compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care.

• Ability to safely lift, transfer, reposition, and assist clients with mobility and activities of daily living.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

• Must be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to providing exceptional care.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to safely assist clients with transfers, ambulation, and mobility.

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks associated with personal care and household assistance.
