Specific qualifications for this Psych MHT role include:
- Mental Health Technicians assist nursing intervention(s) to improve and maintain the emotion and physical health of the psychiatric patient(s). They perform nursing care activities under the supervision and or direction of the Clinical Nursing Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Staff Nurse. MHT s will participate in the Milieu Therapy Program under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience in Mental Health Field or equivalent education/academic preparation required.
- One-year acute hospital experience with child patients preferred but not required.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- Current certification in Aggressive Behavior Management training.- SAMA)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred but not required
